B2B social media has a wider reach than the supposed myth that it is all about narrow targeting. This is not so as the world of social media marketing is no longer linear. A person might not be a customer or consumer of the service or product yet may add monetary value to the business by influencing another person or spreading the content. Building the social media reach has become an important aspect of marketing.

Social media affects almost all the aspects of B2B business. Social media can be invaluable as a source of observations to find which of the leads are sales ready. Hence, it can be tool for lead generation.
